After creating your property, you will need to set up a data stream to collect data from your website.
Click on Web (to track a website).
Enter your website URL and assign a Stream name.
Toggle on the options you want to track (e.g., enhanced measurement for page views, scrolls, etc.).
Click Create Stream.
Copy the Measurement ID:
Once the stream is created, you will see a Measurement ID (starting with "G-").
Copy this ID as you will need it for Google Tag Manager.
Part 2: Set Up a Google Tag Manager Account
Create a Google Tag Manager Account:
Go to Google Tag Manager and log in with your Google account.
Click Create Account.

Under Container Setup, enter your website’s domain as the Container Name.

Accept GTM Terms of Service:
Read and accept the GTM terms of service.
Install GTM on Your Jolojo Website:
Once the container is created, you will be provided with a unique container ID, structured “GTM-XXXXXXX”
Copy your unique GTM ID and head over to your Jolojo website.
When signed in, go to the Admin area and select Trackers.
Click the Add tracker button, located on the top right.
Paste your unique GTM container ID between the quotation marks, replacing the question marks.
Click Save tracker, ensuring there are no spaces next to either of the quotation marks.
Publish the GTM Container:
After installing the GTM code, return to Google Tag Manager and click Submit to publish your GTM container live on your website.
Part 3: Add Google Analytics 4 to Google Tag Manager
Create a New Tag in GTM:
In Google Tag Manager, go to the Workspace of the container you created.
Click on Tags in the left-hand menu.

Configure the GA4 Tag:
Name your tag something descriptive like “GA4 Configuration Tag.”
Click on Tag Configuration and select Google Analytics: GA4 Configuration.
Paste the Measurement ID (copied earlier from GA4) into the Measurement ID field.
Leave the other fields at their default settings unless you have advanced configuration needs (e.g., if you need to track specific custom events).
Set a Trigger for the GA4 Tag:
After configuring the tag, click on Triggering.
Select the All Pages trigger so that the GA4 tag will fire on every page of your website.
Save the Tag:
Click Save to complete the tag creation process.
Part 4: Preview and Publish the Tag
Preview the Setup (optional):
Before publishing, it’s good practice to test the tag to ensure it’s working correctly.
In GTM, click the Preview button in the upper-right corner.
Enter your website’s URL and click Connect to open your site in the debug mode.
Use the Tag Assistant panel to verify that the GA4 Configuration Tag is firing correctly when you load your website.
Publish the Tag:
After confirming the tag is working as expected, return to GTM.
Click the Submit button.
Provide a Version Name and Description (optional), then click Publish to make your GA4 setup live.
Part 5: Verify GA4 Is Working
Check in Google Analytics:
Go to your GA4 property in Google Analytics.
Click on Reports > Realtime to ensure data is flowing into GA4 from your website.
You should see your own visit and other active users if everything is set up correctly.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully installed Google Analytics 4 on your Jolojo website via Google Tag Manager. Your website is now tracking visitor data with GA4, and you can continue to refine and add more tags to GTM as needed.
